Day of the African Child

Just this past Sunday, June 17th 2007 we celebrated the international day of the African child. An event in its infancy but gradually with determination , advertisements and sponsorship will grow and become one of the many voices for the African child. This years event encouraged children and adults alike to dream and go for their dreams. They were thought to be proud of their identities and not to feel downtrodden. The children also learnt the morals of listening and obeying parent. They also engages in learning about the drums and its meaning as a communicative piece. Overall, it was an enjoyable event for both adults and the children alike. Next years International Day of the African Child promises to be bigger and better, with fun activities for the children and their families.
